Mission / Purpose of Staff Ministry
Our Conference Mission Statement
The WELS Conference of Staff Ministers exists to
encourage, to exchange ideas and information, and to facilitate staff
ministry certification and continuing education for all staff ministers
who have been called by WELS congregations, by the Synod or by WELS
para-church organizations to serve our gracious God in various areas of
ministry.
Our Conference Objectives
The WELS Conference of Staff Ministers encourages WELS
staff ministers through use of the Means of Grace, communication and
conferences.
The WELS Conference of Staff Ministers exchanges ideas and
information among staff ministers by maintaining a resource network.
The WELS Conference of Staff Ministers facilitates staff
ministry certification and continuing education via the staff ministry
program at Martin Luther College through periodic assessments of staff
ministry educational needs.
